God is Super Patient…

gods-patience

To begin I’d like for you, my reader, to think about all of the times that you have failed God. I want you to think about the times when God told you to do something and you didn’t do it. Think about the times when you’ve became outraged with God and just decided to not pray or ignore God. Now, I want you to think the times that God has never failed you. How he has never forgotten about you. How he has never left you.

The question I ask is….

How patient is God???

Well, he is super patient!

The Bible says in Nehemiah 9:16-17,

“But they, our fathers, acted arrogantly; They became stubborn and would not listen to Your commandments. “They refused to listen, And did not remember Your wondrous deeds which You had performed among them; So they became stubborn and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt But You are a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness; And You did not forsake them.”

I want you to imagine a person that you continually give advice to and that person just never listens. After a while, you will probably find yourself not giving that person any more advise. I mean, why would you if he/she doesn’t listen? Well, is that the way that the God you serve thinks? No! If so, all of us would be condemned and not have rights to his grace, love, or salvation. Just imagine the day that God decides that he will no longer be patient. What would the world be like then? The good news, that will never happen. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:13,

“if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.”

I want you to remember always, that even though we may fail God, even though we push him away at times. Even if we choose to completely ignore God. He will always be patient and always remain faithful. I want to challenge you today. Instead of complaining, instead of offering God a list of things you want. Thank him for being patient!

Please, comment your thoughts!

God Bless!
